Mental health clinician, educator, & advocate

Hi! My name is Shainna Ali (Shay-na Ah-lee) and I am dedicated to helping others understand the important role of mental health in fostering happiness, fulfillment, and overall wellness. I am a licensed mental health counselor (MH15290), a nationally certified counselor (717226), and an approved clinical supervisor (ACS 3047).  Beyond credentials I am a wife, mother, and friend who actively strives for mental health growth and balance. When I'm not working, you can find me filling my cup bonding with my family and friends, practicing yoga, exercising, learning new lessons, and traveling the globe.

Presently, as the owner of Integrated Counseling Solutions, I utilize a strengths-based tailored approach that hones individuality, purpose, and hope as catalysts for mental wellness. I enjoy working with clients in counseling who wish to better understand themselves and the world around them as they aspire to improve their overall well-being.

In addition to mental health counseling, I believe in the essentiality of mental health education and value using my counselor education background to help others improve their mental health knowledge on and beyond the counseling couch.

It has become a passion to improve accessibility of mental wealth resources. I share free mental health information on my social platforms, my Psychology Today blog, Modern Mentality. public speaking events and media commentary. My areas of passion in mental health wellness have driven me to create  The Self-Love Workbook., The Self-Love Workbook for Teens, and Luna Finds Love Everywhere: A Self-Love Book for Kids, The Self-Love Planner, and Designing Healthy Boundaries.  I have contributed to professional service for local, national, and international mental health organizations and continue to serve on research teams dedicated to improving mental wellness in marginalized populations. As a mental health advocate, I also value the opportunity to contribute to communities, businesses, and organizations by offering mental health consultation services in the form of assessments, presentations, and interactive workshops.

I am truly grateful to have had my passion for mental wellness acknowledged, especially by receiving the prestigious UCF 30 under 30 Award, the Association for Specialists in Group Work's Al Dye Award, and the Florida Counseling Association's Pete Fischer Humanitarian Award. However, the greatest accomplishment is the gift I witness when a client recognizes the growth they have earned on their mental health journey.
