Dr.Shainna Ali
Mental health clinician, educator, & advocate
Hi! My name is Shainna Ali (Shay-na Ah-lee) and I am dedicated to helping others understand the important role of mental health in fostering happiness, fulfillment, and overall wellness. I am a licensed mental health counselor (MH15290), a nationally certified counselor (717226), and an approved clinical supervisor (ACS 3047). Beyond credentials I am a wife, mother, and friend who actively strives for mental health growth and balance.
Presently, as the owner of Integrated Counseling Solutions, I enjoy utilizing a strengths-based tailored approach that focuses on growth, optimism, and the unique identity factors of each client. In addition to mental health therapy, I believe in the essentiality of mental health education. I am passionate about crafting research-informed, interactive presentations and workshops pertaining to mental health education.

When I'm not on the counseling couch, I am often teaching counselor education courses, writing, or practicing what I preach (nurturing my own mental health). I share my passion for improving mental health awareness through my Psychology Today blog, Modern Mentality. I enjoy the opportunity to share about mental wellness through consulting, media interviews, public speaking events, and teaching workshops. I am truly grateful to have had my passion for mental wellness acknowledged, especially by receiving the prestigious UCF 30 under 30 Award, the Association for Specialists in Group Work's Al Dye Award, and the Florida Counseling Association's Pete Fischer Humanitarian Award. However, the greatest accomplishment is the gift I witness when a client recognizes the growth they have earned on their mental health journey.
I believe that in order to help others, I must be sure to help myself as well. My belief that self-love is an essential aspect of mental well-being is so strong that it drove me to author The Self-Love Workbook., The Self-Love Workbook for Teens, and Luna Finds Love Everywhere: A Self-Love Book for Kids. Hence, when I'm not working, you can find me filling my cup. In my free time I love spending time with my family and friends, playing with my German Shepherd, practicing yoga, exercising, learning new lessons, and traveling the globe.
